Turner Introduces Bill to Aid Housing Construction for Senior Veterans

-

WASHINGTON, DC – December 6, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Mike Turner (OH-3) has introduced the Senior Veterans Housing Assistance Act of 2011 (H.R. 3546). The bill would make sure that government regulations do not pose an impediment to providing access to affordable housing for seniors who have served our nation. This issue came to light because of conflicting rules and regulations between the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) during the planned construction of housing at the Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC).
