FIFTEEN COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES WIN THE OUTSTANDING BUILDING OF THE YEAR® AWARDS

BOMA International Honors Excellence in Commercial Real Estate

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 30, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — The commercial real estate industry honored 15 commercial properties with The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) Awards last night at the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s annual conference, the 2016 BOMA International Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. This year marked the 30th anniversary of the awards.

The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry’s highest recognition honoring excellence in commercial building management and operations in specific categories of building size or type. To win an International TOBY Award, a property first must win both local and regional competitions. Judging is based on community impact, tenant/employee relations programs, energy management systems, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building personnel training programs and overall quality indicators. A team of expert industry professionals also conducted comprehensive building inspections.

The following properties were honored with 2016 TOBY Awards:

In the Corporate Facility category, the winner is Oracle Redwood Shores in Redwood City, California. The building is owned and managed by Oracle America, Inc.

In the Earth category, the winner is 717 Texas in Houston. The building is owned by Block 59 LP and managed by Hines.

In the Government Building category, the winner is 1500 Jefferson Building in Olympia, Washington. The property is owned by FYI Properties and managed by Wright Runstad & Company.

In the Historical Building category, the winner is Ford Center in Minneapolis. The property is owned by Ford United Tenant, LLC and managed by Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq.

In the Industrial Office Building category, the winner is Freeport X in Coppell, Texas. The property is owned and managed by Duke Realty.

In the Medical Office Building category, the winner is TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Bloomington, Minnesota. The property owned by United Properties Investment, LLC and managed by Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq.

In the Renovated Building category, the winner is Park Place Irvine in Irvine, California. The property is owned and managed by LBA Realty.

In the Retail Building category, the winner is CF Polo Park Shopping Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The property is owned by Ontrea Inc. and managed by the Cadillac Fairview Corporation Ltd.

In the Suburban Office Park Low-Rise category, the winner is Stoneridge Corporate Plaza in Pleasanton, California. The property is owned NPC Holdings, LLC and managed by Next Play Consulting, LLC.

In the Suburban Office Park Mid-Rise category, the winner is Kilroy Airport Center Long Beach in Long Beach, California. The property is owned and managed by Kilroy Realty Corporation.

In the buildings Under 100,000 Square Feet category, the winner is 564 West Randolph in Chicago. The property is owned by Health Care Service Corporation & BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois and managed by Sterling Bay Property Management.

In the 100,000 to 249,999 Square Feet category, the winner is 200 Ashford Center North in Atlanta. The property is owned and managed by Parmenter Realty Partners.

In the 250,000 to 499,999 Square Feet category, the winner is 700 Sixth Street in Washington, D.C. The property is owned by USAA Real Estate Company and managed by Akridge, Inc.

In the 500,000 to One Million Square Feet category, the winner is BG Group Placein Houston. The property is owned by BG Holdco, LLC and managed by Hines.

In the Over One Million Square Feet category, the winner is AMA Plaza in Chicago. The property is owned by 330 N. Wabash Avenue, L.L.C. and managed by Riverview Realty Property Management, Inc.
