Marie Chung, Owner and Director of Modern Realty, Adds Real Estate Savvy to Operation HOPE Southwestern Board

LOS ANGELES – August 2, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — A leader in financial dignity and economic empowerment, Operation HOPE (HOPE) today announced the appointment of Marie Chung, CCIM, owner and director of Modern Realty and Modern Estates, to its Southwestern Board. With this appointment, Ms. Chung joins the organization’s Silver Rights Movement to make free enterprise and capitalism relevant to under-resourced communities throughout Southern California.

Marie Chung brings decades of experience in guiding thousands of distressed homeowners of all income levels – from $50,000 to $5 million properties – as well as uninformed future homeowners, to make prudent decisions in their respective situations. During her two-year service as a Silver Rights Ambassador, Ms. Chung will offer her guidance and help to generate ongoing support for HOPE programs and activities, and highlight the importance of financial literacy and dignity.

She manages 55 agents and 18 full-time staff, and boasts a significant roster of banks & lenders throughout the U.S.  Ms. Chung is Luxury Marketing Institute certified and consistently ranks #1 in California and #16 in the Nation by Wall Street Journal RealTrends Report.

She takes pride in finding new and creative ways to serve her clients, such as securing television exposure on Today in LA on NBC for a luxury listing in the famous Hidden Hills neighborhood.  Ms. Chung also generously shares her insights as a featured speaker at national conferences such as the CAR Expo’s “Top Producers Panel,” Five Star, Inman News / Real Estate Connect, Commercial REO Brokers Association, and as past Secretary of the CCIM Los Angeles Chapter.

Ms. Chung is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of UCLA in Business Economics and USC Ross Program in Real Estate Development, and a former corporate consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Modern Realty.  She is also on numerous committees including REOMAC, Asian Real Estate Association of America Board of Directors, USC Lusk Center for Real Estate, and Urban Land Institute.
