“One of the best parts of serving in Congress is being able to advocate for federal funding for local agencies, organizations, cities, and institutions in my district. I’m pleased that we were able to support many grant applications this year, and that more than $627 million in federal funding will reach entities in our district. Supporting our nation’s heroes and addressing the affordable housing crisis are priorities of mine in Congress, so I’m pleased to see federal funding go to local organizations working to accomplish those goals. My staff and I look forward to continuing to support local grant applications to ensure federal funding reaches our communities in LA County.”

The federal agencies that awarded the most grant funding to Congressman Lieu’s district were the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Energy (DOE).
