WASHINGTON – (RealEstateRama) — House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) released the following statement after President Trump signed H.J. Res. 38 into law. This legislation repeals the Department of Interior’s stream protection rule under the Congressional Review Act.

Speaker Paul Ryan

“Today, we delivered on another promise. The Department of Interior’s stream protection rule—which is now repealed—could have wiped out one-third of American coal mining jobs. Coal country will finally receive relief from the Obama administration’s eight-year war on affordable energy. This regulatory reprieve is just the beginning. Congress will continue to stand up for American workers by abolishing harmful regulations and revitalizing our economy.”
