Volunteer Hydration Outreach to the Homeless Wraps Up Two Weeks of Neighbors Helping Neighbors Beat the Heat

July 9, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — The City of Norfolk sends a huge thank you to the non-profit groups, partner organizations, faith communities, Community Emergency Response Team members, City departments, and other volunteers who have been neighbors helping neighbors these last two weeks during this hot and humid stretch of weather. As a community we have had cooling stations, shelters opening their doors, services providing water and cool air in their lobbies, libraries offering a cool respite, recreation facilities providing water activities, and a variety of folks checking in on their neighbors and clients
