ADVISORY: On Its 15th Anniversary, Center for American Progress to Convene the 2018 Ideas Conference

-

Washington, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — For the past 15 years, the Center for American Progress has served as a creative engine for introducing bold solutions that advance progressive values on nearly every possible front. In the past year alone, CAP has defended the Affordable Care Act; helped drive opposition to President Donald Trump’s tax and infrastructure plans; and discussed the impact of race across a wide range of issue areas.

Center for American Progress

On May 15th in Washington, CAP will convene its signature event, the 2018 Ideas Conference—which will bring together elected officials, policy experts, cultural influencers, and grassroots activists—to explore and unveil new ideas that can make America a place for every single one of us to thrive. Speakers will preview and sharpen the best arguments for rejecting far-right conservatism and for enacting progressive policies at the federal, state, and local levels; highlight the successes of the resistance; and outline the path forward for progressives in 2018 and beyond.

Additional speakers and details will be announced in the coming days, and the most current agenda can be found at CAPIdeas.org. Join us on social with the hashtag #CAPIdeas2018.
