Congressman Cohen Announces $171,761 Fire Prevention & Safety Grant to the City of Memphis 

Ensuring Memphis is well equipped to address fire safety

WASHINGTON – RealEstateRama – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced a Fire Prevention & Safety Grant Award through the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) to the City of Memphis for $171,761. This program supports projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“This is a welcomed and timely investment to assist Memphis in fire awareness and prevention. I’m always pleased to see FEMA provide critical funding to ensure Memphis’s safety, and I am sure this grant will be instrumental in protecting lives and property.
