FHFA Announces Senior Appointment in Office of Congressional Affairs and Communications

Washington, DC – April 26, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Federal Housing Finance Agency Acting Director Edward J. DeMarco today announced the appointment of Denise Dunckel as Senior Associate Director for the Office of Congressional Affairs and Communications where she will manage all internal and external communications for FHFA.

“I am pleased to have Denise join FHFA at this critical time,” said DeMarco. “Her skills and experience will be a tremendous asset to us as we work to build a new infrastructure for the country’s secondary mortgage market.”

Dunckel previously served as Senior Business Leader of Global Corporate Relations for Visa, Inc., where she managed the company’s corporate, public policy and litigation communications strategies. Before joining Visa, Dunckel held senior public affairs positions at the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Dunckel has served as Senior Press Advance Representative in the Office of Presidential Advance at the White House and received a degree in communications from Texas Christian University. Dunckel will join FHFA May 14.
