Harkin Announces Nearly $2 Million to Help Iowa Veteran Families Find Housing

    WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 15, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) today announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded three Iowa organizations with a combined total of $1,922,584 through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program. Grantees, which include private, non- profit organizations and consumer cooperatives, will provide supportive services to very low-income Veteran families’ living in or transitioning to permanent housing
