HARPER VOTES TO ADVANCE LONG-TERM HIGHWAY FUNDING LEGISLATION

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 6, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Rep. Gregg Harper (R-Miss.), today issued the following statement following the House’s 363-64 vote to amend Senate language, and send a six-year highway and transit bill to a conference committee to negotiate final details with the Senate.

“Every state needs their transportation infrastructure to keep people and goods moving in order to continue to grow our economy,” said Harper. “Strong, healthy, and modern roads, bridges and highways ensure efficiency when it comes to road travel and commerce. This is the first long-term highway legislation advanced by the House in nearly a decade and today’s action puts us one step closer towards guaranteeing structural stability for our country’s infrastructure.”
