Karen O. Gould Joins Turner as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

February 23, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Turner Construction Company announced Karen Gould, 46, has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

As the leader of Turner’s finance organization; Karen is responsible for building upon the finance teams’ strengths and keeping them consistent with the company’s focus and commitment towards people and customer service. In addition, Karen is responsible for maintaining the company’s strong balance sheet and providing strategic evaluations of growth opportunities and creating value for stakeholders.

“Karen brings a strong background in a wide range of financial functions,” says Peter Davoren, President and Chief Executive Officer of Turner Construction Company. “She has been a strong leader of diverse teams in a variety of entrepreneurial and corporate environments, including international operations. We are excited to have her join senior management as the finance leader.”

Karen began her career in finance with PPG Industries. After graduating from the business school at the University of Chicago, she joined Kidder, Peabody as an Associate in investment banking working on corporate finance matters and mergers and acquisitions for domestic and overseas clients.

In 1994, she joined Ameritech as a Director in the corporate finance and treasury department. She was then promoted to Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Information Systems and again to Chief Financial Officer, Custom Business Services. Karen joined AT&T Consumer Services in 2002 as Vice President and CFO of the Consumer Long Distance Business. In 2006, she joined Bell Canada in Toronto as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Residential Services. In 2008, she formed a management consulting firm in New Jersey.

Karen is originally from Munster, Indiana and holds a Finance degree from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
