WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 20, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — In recognition of National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, Mercy Housing launches Home Is, a national cause-marketing campaign that brings attention to the importance of “Home.” In our busy lives, it is easy to take for granted the importance of a home to come to every night – a place where you are safe, where you are comfortable, and that belongs to you and your family.
As one of the nation’s largest affordable housing organizations, Mercy Housing understands when people don’t have to worry about the safety and affordability of their home, they can focus on gaining new career skills, helping their children succeed in school, and becoming involved in their communities. Home Is brings to the public’s attention the importance of supporting organizations like Mercy Housing, where residents receive supportive services along with affordable housing opportunities.
From now through January 10, 2014, Mercy Housing will be reaching out to communities across the country to learn what Home Is to every individual. People are encouraged to visit HomeIs.org to Shop for special offers from retailers and restaurants that support Mercy Housing, Share personal stories about the importance of home, and Support Mercy Housing by making a donation to ensure every family has a safe and affordable home.
Current partners for Home Is include Cricket Wireless and the Denver ChopHouse & Brewery, who have all created special offers allowing people to Shop, Share, or Support all to benefit Mercy Housing’s numerous programs and services.
“We are incredibly thankful for the help of our community partners in developing meaningful ways to support the families and individuals we serve every day,” says Beth Dunham, National Manager of Corporate Marketing for Mercy Housing. “By doing business with our Home Is partners, you are not only supporting charitable companies, but also supporting Mercy Housing.”
