NAIOP Appoints Wendy Mann, CAE, as Senior Vice President
WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 8, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has appointed Wendy Mann, CAE, as its senior vice president. Mann will oversee day-to-day business operations of the association and serve as executive director of NAIOP’s Research Foundation and publisher of Development magazine.
“Wendy’s extensive background in the association sector, specifically her experience in strategic communications and membership management, along with her genuinely inquisitive nature and member-focused work ethic are traits that will help NAIOP create added value through program development and strategic growth tactics,” said Thomas J. Bisacquino, president and CEO of NAIOP. “We are thrilled to have Wendy join us and look forward to formally introducing her to the association during Development ’13: The Annual Meeting for Commercial Real Estate, October 7-9, in San Diego.”
Mann previously was director of communications at the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association where she was responsible for all of the association’s communications initiatives, including strategic communication planning, integrated marketing, media relations, publishing and website development/content management. Prior to that, she served as vice president of member services for the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, where she led a staff team in the areas of membership, communications, meetings strategic planning and Board of Director development. She also has held positions with the Health Industry Distributors Association, APICS – the Educational Society for Resource Management, Greater Washington Society of Association Executives, where she served as executive director of its Educational Foundation, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Mann received her bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University, earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1991 and has pursued graduate level studies at George Mason University.
