Washington, D.C. – July 9, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — On Saturday, July 13th, Congressman Runyan will host his 2nd annual Burlington County housing expo at the Kennedy Center in Willingboro, New Jersey from 9a.m. until 4p.m. Representatives from several federal, state, and local agencies will be in attendance, along with loan servicers and housing counseling agencies.

“Many families throughout our state and region are still struggling in the current housing markets,” said Runyan. “Across New Jersey, the communities struggling most to rebound from the housing crisis are those in our state’s southern counties, Burlington among them. Foreclosures devastate families and destroy communities, and many struggling homeowners are unaware of their options. This housing expo will help homeowners understand the foreclosure process and the options that are available to them.”

“Congressman Runyan understands the value this housing expo has had for so many homeowners in the past and for those who are still struggling and need assistance,” said Stephanie Bittner, NJ Community Outreach Manager, Clarifi (formerly the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley). “Clarifi supports his mission in helping as many constituents as possible and applauds his ongoing efforts.”

Last year’s expo was extremely successful with approximately 400 people attending the event. Some of the attendees were actually able to get their mortgages modified on-site. Others met with representatives from their loan service providers directly to get answers to their specific questions. Additionally, some were able to meet with housing counselors on their options and learn about assistance programs from government agencies.
