Clark bill aims to remove barriers to higher education for homeless and foster youth

Congresswoman Katherine Clark introduced the Higher Education Access and Success and Foster Youth Act, legislation to empower homeless and foster students to obtain higher levels of education and to lift traditional barriers to entry.  Education advocates report that current higher education policies regarding students’ independence, financial aid eligibility, and recruitment programs create barriers for homeless and foster youth trying to navigate a complex higher education system.

Warner, Kaine Announce More Than $5 Million in Federal Funding to...

U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) announced $5,693,508 in federal grant funding for infrastructure upgrades to four Virginia airports. This funding is awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) program for FY26, which is made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that the senators helped negotiate and pass.
