The National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) Joins ConsensusDocs Coalition to Improve Construction Industry Continues to Grow

-

WASHINGTON, DC – August 10, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — ConsensusDocs announces today that the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), the national trade association representing utility and excavation contractors, joined the coalition, and has become the 37th member of this unique coalition that produces best practice contracts for the design and construction industry.

“NUCA is excited to join the ConsensusDocs Coalition,” states Bill Hillman, CEO of NUCA. “Joining the Coalition helps NUCA members by ensuring not only that they have a voice in the drafting process, but that they have easy access (and a member discount) to fair and balanced contracts that are relevant to today’s design and construction projects.”

NUCA is the largest national trade association working solely for the underground utility and excavation construction industry — protecting the rights of the business community, addressing a decaying national infrastructure before Congress and regulators, providing safety training, and publishing important construction news in four industry publications. NUCA represents contractors, suppliers and manufacturers in water, sewer, gas, electric, telecommunications, site work and other segments of the industry across the country.

ConsensusDocs are the only contracts endorsed by 37 leading design and construction industry organizations. Offering a catalog of 100+ contract documents addressing all methods of project delivery, ConsensusDocs incorporate fair risk allocation and best practices to represent the project’s best interests. Coalition members represent design professionals, owners, contractors, subcontractors and sureties (DOCS).
