Water quality panel offers volunteer opportunity

Vancouver, WA – November 25, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Acting County Manager Mark McCauley is seeking volunteers to serve on the county’s Clean Water Commission.

Two positions are available, and terms run from January 2016 through January 2019.

The nine-member Clean Water Commission is an advisory group that makes recommendations to the Board of County Councilors about services, policies and financing to meet federal and state requirements for water quality, including stormwater management.

“This is a great opportunity to get involved with your community,” said Don Benton, Environmental Services director.

Applicants can live anywhere in Clark County. Analytical skills are desirable, along with experience and interest in environmental issues.

The group holds six meetings annually at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
