Appraisal Institute Offers $1,000 Next Mission Scholarship for Veterans; Deadline Oct. 30
The Appraisal Institute has opened its Next Mission Scholarship, a $1,000 tuition award to help veterans pursue careers in appraisal, valuation and related fields. The scholarship is part of the institute’s Veterans Initiative Program, which helps veterans explore the appraisal profession and transition to civilian careers.
The institute said veterans bring skills such as leadership, discipline, attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical thinking. Acting CEO Jim Slawnikowski said the scholarship is meant to take cost off the table as a reason not to start. Beyond the award, the initiative provides information on courses, professional development and other scholarships.
Applications must be completed online, with all required supporting materials uploaded to the applicant’s grant profile, and must be complete and accurate to be reviewed. The application deadline is October 30, 2026, and the award is scheduled for November 16, 2026.
