CHA to distribute 7,500 coats to families, children at 13th annual Operation Warm

WHAT:   13th Annual CHA Operation Warm Coat Distribution

WHERE: Credit Union 1 Arena, 525 S. Racine Ave.

WHEN:    10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020

WHO:       CHA CEO Tracey Scott and the CHA team

                   will hand out 7,500 new winter coats.

Washington – RealEstateRama – It will look a little different this year because of COVID-19, but CHA is partnering with the national non-profit Operation Warm for the 13th consecutive year to give away 7,500 new winter coats to children living in public housing and participants of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program.

CHA is distributing the coats over four days. Media Day distribution will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at the Credit Union 1 Arena, 525 S. Racine Ave. to CHA families who pre-registered to receive coats.

Sponsors include: Wells Fargo, Pepsico, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Comcast, ComEd, Pangea Real Estate and Nan McKay & Associates.
