Top housing, political, community leaders to discuss housing policies post-midterms on Nov. 27

WASHINGTON – (RealEstateRama) — The National Housing Conference (NHC) will host Solutions for Affordable Housing, a post-midterm election examination of federal housing policies and their impacts on local communities. Solutions will feature a roster of top housing, political and community leaders. NHC’s first-ever Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill will follow the next day on Nov. 28. NHC is a national nonprofit dedicated to educating decision makers and the public about federal, state and local affordable housing policies.

Session topics include Opportunity Zones in action, Community Reinvestment Act modernization in the 21st Century, The future of the Housing Tax Credit and more.

The luncheon and opening plenary on Nov. 27 will cover housing finance reform, and will feature David M. Dworkin of NHC, Anne McCulloch of the Housing Partnership Equity Trust, Kristin Siglin of the Housing Partnership Network and Yana Miles of the Center for Responsible Lending. Invited speakers for the Nov. 28 breakfast and pre-Advocacy Day plenary include Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (R-Mass.).
