CHRISTIE ADMINISTRATION MARKS GRAND OPENING OF THE MEADOWS IN ATLANTIC CITY

The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA) Executive Director Anthony L. Marchetta joined local officials and community leaders to celebrate the grand opening of The Meadows, an affordable rental community for workforce families in Atlantic County. Developers on the project are Atlantic City Housing Authority, Urban Redevelopment Agency and Conifer Realty, LLC. The community is located just blocks from the beach and boardwalk, at 900 Mediterranean Avenue, on the corners of North Maryland Avenue and Mediterranean Avenue.

This webinar, presented by The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Office of Regional Operations (ORO), Region 10 (AK, ID, WA, OR), will take place July 27, 2016, from 10:00 am – 11:15 pm PST (1:00 pm – 2:15 EST). The webinar will be an open community of sharing with subject matter experts from Federal, State, and local agencies and community partners who provide care and service to homeless persons.

National September 11 Memorial Museum Pavilion Wins National Building Design Award

The National September 11 Memorial Museum Pavilion in New York’s Lower Manhattan has earned national recognition in the 2016 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel awards program (IDEAS2). In honor of this achievement, members of the project team will be presented with awards from the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) during a ceremony to take place at the pavilion on Thursday, June 16, at 5 p.m.

Consultative Council to Host Briefing During High Performance Building Week

The National Institute of Building Sciences Consultative Council will host a briefing during High Performance Building Week to highlight its 2015 Moving Forward Report. The Congressional luncheon briefing, “Achieving a High-Performance Built Environment: Findings and Recommendations from the Consultative Council,” will be held Thursday, June 16, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2253, in Washington, D.C.
