EPA Brownfields Grants will help revitalize Pittsburgh properties

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency today announced the award of $400,000 in brownfields grants to Pittsburgh’s North Side Industrial Development Company (NSIDC). The funding will be used to assess abandoned industrial sites in Pittsburgh that may be potentially contaminated with hazardous substances so that they can be cleaned up and redeveloped

Arkansas, Louisiana & New Mexico Receive More Than $2.4 Million in FEMA Preparedness Grants

Fire departments in Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico have been awarded more than $2.4 million in preparedness grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In Arkansas, the grants total $413,524 and cover firefighting equipment for the Lake Village Fire Department and the Lone Rock Volunteer Fire Department in Norfork.

District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee Grants MERS’ Motion to Dismiss

NEH Announces $36.6 Million for More Than 200 Humanities Projects

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) today announced $36.6 million in grants for 212 humanities projects, including an exhibition on Mexican modern art from 1910-1950 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the excavation of the 17th-century Plymouth Colony settlement in Massachusetts, and publication of the personal papers of Martin Luther King, Jr. dating from the campaign to desegregate Birmingham and the historic 1963 March on Washington.
