Today, ACUS announced that the 2015 Walter Gellhorn Innovation Award is being presented to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Rebuild by Design Competition.

After gradually climbing for three consecutive years, the decline in existing-home sales in 2014 resulted in a slight reduction in Realtor® business activity and income last year, according to the 2015 National Association of Realtors® Member Profile. HUD LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE FOR HOUSING COUNSELING AGENCIES

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today unveiled a new website specifically designed for HUD-approved housing counseling agencies, offering free on-line training covering a broad range of topics including responsibilities of homeownership and tenancy; avoiding foreclosure and eviction; financial management; and fair housing. The training is designed to help prepare housing counselors for the upcoming, mandatory HUD-certified counselor examination.

Norton Follows Through on Promise to Introduce Amendment to Prevent Reagan Early Morning and...

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today offered an amendment on the House floor to the fiscal year 2016 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations (THUD) bill to prohibit air transportation service between midnight and 6 a.m. at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Norton’s amendment was defeated by voice vote. Norton introduced the amendment after holding a May 5 community meeting on airplane noise with residents in the Palisades, Foxhall, Georgetown, Hillandale and other impacted neighborhoods in the District of Columbia.
