Mayor Garcetti today announced that the Mayors National Climate Action Agenda, an organization he co-founded in September of 2014, has called on President Obama to fight for the strongest possible climate agreement at the upcoming 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) in Paris. The Mayors are also urging federal action to establish binding national greenhouse gas emissions reductions in the United States
Mayor Muriel Bowser Partners with Montgomery and Prince George’s County Execs to Tackle Homelessness
Mayor Muriel Bowser, Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker III joined forces at the Regional Summit on Homelessness today. The event was organized by area leadership as a call to action to funders, developers, banks, employers, landlords, service providers, schools, institutes of higher learning, and community members to join in the work to end homelessness.
