Meridian, a full-service commercial real estate developer based in California, is pleased to announce the purchase of Grunow Memorial Medical Center, a landmark 51,150-square-foot two-story medical office building located at 926 East McDowell Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The seller was PacVentures, a real estate investment firm based in San Diego, California. Meridian paid nearly $5 million for the 40 percent leased building located near Banner Health University Medical Center’s Phoenix Campus and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The acquisition of Grunow Memorial Medical Center represents Meridian’s first major transaction outside of California

Meridian, a full-service office property developer in California, is pleased to announce the purchase of 1000 Marina, a six-story 105,000-square-foot office building in San Mateo County, Calif. The seller was TA Associates, a private equity firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. Meridian paid just under $29 million for the 90%-leased building located in the Sierra Point Submarket in the city of Brisbane. Housing Production Holds Steady in August

Nationwide housing starts fell 0.8 percent in August to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.18 million units, according to newly released data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Commerce Department. Single-family production rose 1.6 percent in August to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 851,000 after a downwardly revised July reading. Year-to-date, single-family starts are 8.9 percent above their level over the same period last year.
