WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — The Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) will be at the International Builders Show in Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) from Jan. 10-12 at booth W6353 showing builders how to transform their businesses with Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). SIPA members from Foard Panel, Murus Structural Insulated Panels, Extreme Panel Technologies Inc., ENERCEPT, FischerSIPS, R-Control SIPs, Porter SIPs, Premier SIPS and Innova Eco Building Systems
SIP expert Matt Belcher will present the AIA course “Residential Design with Structural Insulated Panels” at the Exhibitors Forum at the South Concourse – Exhibit Hall SA, Booth S346 on Jan. 11 from 1:00 – 1:45 PM. He will then present the program on Jan. 12, from 12:00-1:00 at the Building Systems Councils Learning Center, located at W310.

This presentation explains the benefits of designing with structural insulated panels (SIPs) for residential applications. Designers will gain a better understanding of the application, assembly and detail to adequately utilize SIPs for optimum energy efficiency and durability. With case studies and design strategies, designers will walk away from this course with a better understanding of designing for industry standards with SIPs.

According to SIPA’s Executive Director, Jack Armstrong, “Current market forces demand faster, better, energy-saving construction methods. The bottom-line: SIPs can make you more competitive and save homeowners money in operational and energy costs.”

About SIPA
The Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) is a non-profit association dedicated to increasing the use and acceptance of structural insulated panels (SIPs) in green, high-performance building by providing an industry forum for promotion, communication, education, quality assurance, and technical and marketing research. SIPs are a high performance, panelized building system that offers superior thermal performance, airtightness, and durability for energy-efficient homes and commercial buildings.  Builders and design professionals seeking to reduce energy use and minimize the carbon footprint of their buildings utilize SIPs as a cost-effective solution for exterior wall and roof systems that also cuts down on framing time lessens construction waste and ensures greater job site quality control through prefabrication. SIPs are an enabling technology to meet to the Architecture 2030 Challenge for net-zero carbon neutral buildings today. Learn more at www.sips.org.
