NAI Capital Hand Picks New Brokers to Join Its Team

As 2012 gains momentum, NAI Capital welcomes five more brokers in the first quarter, and the influx of business emerging in these markets.

John Aquino joins NAI Capital’s Encino office as a virtual broker most recently from California Oak Property Management Services in Ventura County and Merrill Lynch Real Estate. John has over 30 years of experience specializing in Commercial Retail, Investment Brokerage in Southern California and Ventura County including Sales, Purchase and Leasing of Real Estate.

Brian Dunne joined NAI Capital’s West L.A. office most recently from Grubb & Ellis and brings over 25 years of expertise in all aspects of commercial real estate including real estate management, advisory services, investments, land acquisition, development, financing and leasing. In addition, he has extensive experience in high-rise office building management and high-net-worth entities in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles Westside markets.

Significant transactions include representing New Pacific Realty in the purchase of 319 North Rodeo Drive retail property from Georges Marciano for $35 million, and representing Prudential and JSM Construction in the assemblage of North Hollywood property with 44 escrows and a combined value of $90 million in land purchases.

Awards include 2006 Top 20 Los Angeles Brokers and 2007 Top 10 Los Angeles Brokers. Dunne is an active member of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Jodi Shoemake joins NAI Capital’s Pasadena office most recently from CBRE’s Urban Retail team in their Downtown Los Angeles corporate office, specializing in Landlord and Tenant Representation. Jodi began her real estate career working as a commercial and residential appraiser in her father’s appraisal company, followed by an associate position with the national firm, Joseph Blake & Associates in their Century City office. In 2006, she joined a top industrial investment team at CBRE as a marketing manager and transitioned into brokerage in 2009. Her background as an appraiser coupled with her strong communication skills allows for her to consistently deliver exceptional client service.

Significant transactions include Los Angeles Union Station (Wetzel’s Pretzels, Subway, Famima, Starbuck’s, See’s Candy, Ben & Jerry’s); Rite-Aid, Solitel, Inc. and Planetalis of California, a 4,483 SF restaurant at 8th & Figueroa in Downtown LA.

Roger Kinoshita joined NAI Capital’s Orange County office most recently from Grubb & Ellis where he was involved in their Investment Properties Practice Group that focuses on investment properties in Southern California. Roger’s brokerage sales exceed $600 million of commercial properties (Retail, Apartment, Office and Industrial) Roger’s 15-year career in the commercial real estate industry includes experience in acquisition, real estate finance and asset management. He has written numerous commercial real estate articles for local newspapers and Southern California trade publications.

Jerry Giglio joins NAI Capital’s Orange County office most recently from his position of Vice President at Grubb & Ellis (2000-2012) and Vice President with CB Richard Ellis (1982 to 2000). As a multi-housing investments specialist, Jerry has focused on the marketing of properties that include apartment homes, senior housing units, long-term residential care facilities, as well as development sites for all related properties referenced above.

With 28 years of experience Giglio has a solid understanding of commercial real estate specifically in Multifamily properties. Jerry has completed more than 250 transactions with a dollar value of over $475,000,000 since his entry into commercial real estate in 1982.
