JLL has been selected by the University System of Georgia to provide project management services for the construction of a new Convocation Center at the University of North Georgia’s Dahlonega Campus. “The University of North Georgia and JLL have partnered successfully on multiple transformational projects during the last decade, said Frank ‘Mac’ McConnell, Senior VP for Business and Finance at UNG, “and we consider JLL one of the very best firms in the industry. Crescent Communities today announced it has appointed David O’Donoghue as executive vice president of its Resort and Second Home Communities team. In this role, O’Donoghue will be responsible for sales, marketing, development, overall operations and property management for the company’s flagship Palmetto Bluff community, a 20,000-acre development in the South Carolina Lowcountry, between Hilton Head and Savannah, Georgia.

Crescent Communities is excited to partner with two homebuilders, Fielding Homes and Lennar, for its Paddlers Cove residential community at Lake Wylie. Fielding Homes will be the featured homebuilder at Paddlers Cove, which will total approximately 550 homes when fully built out, while Lennar will be the featured builder at the adjacent Summerhouse at Paddlers Cove neighborhood, which will total approximately 170 homes.

WPM Commercial, an Atlanta-based investor and developer, said today it is marketing for sale a 220-acre tract entitled for up to 3,500,000 square feet of distribution and manufacturing space in Adairsville, Georgia.

Office rents jumped 13 percent, placing Atlanta at No. 8 in JLL’s Global Top 10 market for office growth. In JLL’s Global Office Index report, Oakland East Bay, Stockholm, Dublin and Dubai (DIFC) took the top spots for annual office rental growth, all with growth of 20 percent or more. Apart from Oakland East Bay, and Atlanta, two other U.S. cities were featured in the top ten: Los Angeles (seventh) and Austin (ninth) showing 13.5 and 12.1 percent growth respectively.

JLL Atlanta announces that Ryan Mandrell has joined the Tenant Rep team at JLL Atlanta as Vice President. A native of Atlanta, Ryan most recently spent four years in New York City with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where he was responsible for business & client development, tenant representation, acquisition/disposition, lease portfolio management and strategic advisory and implementation.
