ARCO / Murray Construction Company is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the construction for the La Chiquita tortilla production and distribution facility located in Orlando, Florida. The 80,000 square foot project will consist of renovating an existing warehouse to accommodate a production area, freezer, cold dock, and office space.

A Taunton property owner has been ordered to pay more than $1.7 million for misappropriating charitable assets for his own personal use, for using unfair and deceptive practices, and for failing to comply with charity reporting laws, Attorney General Maura Healey announced today. He has also been barred from engaging in any real estate and mortgage lending transactions and from serving in any role involving charities.
EPA Hosts Superfund Redevelopment Awards Ceremony in West Dallas
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is presenting the Excellence in Site Reuse Award to the Dallas Housing Authority and Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc. for redeveloping portions of the RSR Corporation Superfund site in west Dallas. The award recognizes their commitment to safely and sustainably reuse the property contaminated by the former lead smelter.

EPA Improves U.S.-Mexico Border with Environmental Projects
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is awarding more than $521,000 to 14 organizations in Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. The funds will support projects such as conservation, waste collection, water quality protection, recycling expansion, green infrastructure and improving environmental education in the region.

U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced today that several New York priorities incorporated into the Military Construction appropriations bill have passed Congress and are now on their way to the President’s desk. Specifically, the bill includes $70 million to replace the waste water treatment plant at West Point. The plant was built in 1956 and has not been upgraded since 1972. As a result, the plant suffers from leaking tanks that are beyond repair. Additionally, the bill includes $55 million for a new elementary school at West Point
Larsen Announces Grant To Address Homelessness Among Local Veterans
The Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) received $154,850 in project-based vouchers through the Housing and Urban Development Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program. Veterans who participate in the HUD-VASH program contribute no more than 30 percent of their own income toward rent and the remaining balance is paid by the grant to the property owners.
