Habitat for Humanity today introduced its new Habitat Strong program, an initiative launched in partnership with Simpson Strong-Tie and Travelers, to help local Habitat for Humanity organizations build stronger, more resilient homes across the U.S.

Altisource Portfolio Solutions S.A., a provider of real estate, mortgage and technology services, today announced a global collaboration with Habitat for Humanity to fund a range of sustainable housing and neighborhood revitalization programs worldwide.

The Dow Chemical Company announced today it will partner with Habitat for Humanity International again for the 34th consecutive year through financial, product and employee volunteer contributions, to help build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Dow’s support aligns with its 2025 Sustainability Goals and its global citizenship mission to help build sustainable communities by providing access to energy-efficient, affordable housing.

This morning a federal court upheld an Oregon law restricting motorized gold mining in and along sensitive salmon streams. The District of Oregon court held that the State of Oregon has the right to regulate both state and federal land to protect water quality and fish habitat, and that it has done so in a manner that does not conflict with federal law.

Habitat for Humanity and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced the third consecutive year of their global corporate social responsibility partnership. In 2016, the partnership will support housing, water, sanitation and education building projects for communities in seven countries where Habitat operates.

As the world continues to urbanize, cities will grow rapidly with the number of people in need of decent housing increasing faster than ever before. To combat this growing trend, Habitat for Humanity is launching Solid Ground, a three-year global advocacy campaign focused on promoting land policies, laws and systems to improve access to adequate shelter.

This year, Lowe’s and Habitat for Humanity are joining forces and working together with 1,000 families to build or repair their homes by December. Many of these families will celebrate the holiday season from the comfort of a safe and stable home for the very first time. Habitat and Lowe’s will launch this initiative by framing the first house on March 4 at the Kobalt 400, where they will be joined by NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.

For the third consecutive year, Kum & Go convenience stores and Habitat for Humanity are partnering on a national campaign that features a corporate donation and in-store fundraising during the month of March. Through their donations, Kum & Go customers will help select a community in which Kum & Go will sponsor the construction of a new Habitat home

Nearly 7,500 college and high school students will travel for spring break this year, but not to the beach. They will help build homes and improve communities through Habitat for Humanity’s alternative spring break program, Collegiate Challenge.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Southside Bank have awarded a $14,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant to Habitat for Humanity of Smith County (HFHSC). The funds will help pay for the construction of two new homes in Tyler
